Dr. Thomas L. Conklin
Dr. Thomas L. Conklin was born in Canton, New York, but traveled extensively due to his father's occupation and lived in fourteen different states. He attended two years of high school in Fairmont, WV and then moved to Vernal, Utah where he graduated in 1985. He went on to graduate from the State University of New York (SUNY) in 1989 with a B.S. in Biology with a Chemistry Minor. He then attended the West Virginia School of Dentistry and graduated with his doctorate in 1993. He went on to complete a general practice residency at Charleston Area Medical Center for WVU. He continues as an assistant clinical professor for WVU in Charleston, WV at the WVU Dental Center working with both dental students and residents. He has held this position since 1994 and continues with it one day a week. In March, 1996 he took over Dr. Ralph McCue and Dr. James Graham's dental practice. In 1999 he built a new dental office that has thirteen modern operatories and is currently staffed with:
- Three Full Time Dentists
- Three Full Time Hygienists
- Office Manager
- Five Secretaries
- Nine Assistants
Dr. Conklin's is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Mercer - McDowell Dental Society, International Associates of Orthodontics and the Mid-America Orthodontic Society. TLC Dental Care is also a West Virginia Rural Health Education Site for both Dental Students and Hygiene Students.
